Beschreibung
For Lukas Weithas (*1991), as a border crosser between alpine agriculture and visual art, the focus is on the examination of real spaces and materials, their economic and cultural embedding as well as their media and social representation. The awareness of one’s own role in these systems underlies this dialectic. Only the privilege of the individual to „belong“, to know the codes and the grammar of the environment, enables the formulation of an audible voice that can express itself critically. The personal location of an „impossible“ identity in the midst of social construction, decay and standstill are the central dispositives of his installations.
